How it's made
Designing of a scarf can start from an image saw somewhere, a form, a pattern, a movie scene, or a dream image…The first ideas are drawn manually on paper or directly on canvas, using mixed media. Then, the pattern or the entire design is moved in digital design software where receive the final touch and technical adjustments to be prepared to be sent to digital printing.
The printing stage is made in a small manufacture using water-based inks with the STANDARD 100 certificate of OEKO-TEX 100 (class 1).
The fabrics used in printing are natural premium 100 % silks or a mixture of silk and other natural fabrics like wool and cotton. They are made in European mills and are maintaining a soft touch after the printing process. Then, the fabrics are manually crafted by skilled seamstresses who finishes the scarves, with an elegant, rolled or by machine hem.
The last stage is about the quality control. The scarves are meticulous checked in terms of colour printing, design alignment and perfect finishing corners, hem, presence of the tag with instructions for care. If everything is ok, the scarves are ironed, packed, and prepared for transport.
